Acupuncture for Female Fertility
Mobile-Acupuncture is ideal for busy stressed out patients who find if difficult to attend a clinic. Having a practitioner arrive at your home at a time convenient to you without having to take time out from work, or find a parking place gives you more time to concentrate on the important things in you life – you.
There has been a growing body of evidence for many years now suggesting that the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture really can improve the chances of conception. Acupuncture is often recommended by doctors these days alongside standard IVF fertility treatment. Acupuncture can also assist in cases of what is commonly termed ‘unexplained infertility” where there are no apparent functional problems.
From a Chinese Medicine perspective we take a wider view on the issues of infertility and not just the physical and functional aspects of the body.
Frequently emotional issues such as anxiety, stress, and a tendency to worry are all factors which can effect our general wellbeing. Acupuncture is said to stimulate the body’s own natural healing rhythms. In fertility treatment some research has indicated that it is said to increase blood flow to the reproductive organs via the nervous system.
Acupuncture for fertility is popular because it helps patients with all of the phases of birth and their variety of problems, from unexplained conception issues, to maximise IVF chances, and later with pregnancy and its effects.
It is sometimes beneficial to arrange to meet both partners when dealing with fertility, although the practitioner will need to see each patient separately during some part of the diagnosis, especially when discussing their emotional health.
For conception issues it is not uncommon for us to recommend a visit twice a week for the first 2-3 weeks then decreasing to weekly and then forthrightly.
There may be some lifestyle issues which may need to be addressed and we recommend reading our Tips and Advice section for some basic guidance.
Patients should be wary of purchasing expensive dietary supplements advertised from some internet sources. We do no prescribe any Chinese Herbal remedies and the practitioners will not attempt to sell you add on supplements or services to make extra income. We prefer to recommend a natural balanced diet based on healthy every day foods and common sense. Foods that enrich the blood for example are recommended.
We do however have a list of recommend books and DVD’s you can purchase direct from Amazon Uk on fertility as well as general wellbeing.
