Acupuncture for Anxiety,  Depression,  compulsions and other mental health issues

We understand that some days it’s  not that you don’t want help but you just cant face going out in the world. Those “days” can last for weeks,  and then months,  and in some cases years.

As practitioners we find it especially rewarding to visit patients  who find it particularly difficult or in some cases almost impossible to  visit a local Acupuncture clinic. Using our services we can arrange for a qualified member of the British Acupuncture council to visit your home discreetly  and provide a therapy based on you as an individual.

Acupuncture is designed to treat the whole body for both  physical and mental  imbalances. In Chinese Medicine there is no separation or division between mental disorders and physical disorders, they are linked. Anyone who has depression will confirm that there is not a day that goes by without the body signalling some physical expression of either pain or discomfort or general ill health somewhere in the body. The same can be said for  people who chronic conditions, if you suffer with a  physical ailment long enough  it makes sense that you could easily  become depressed.

Acupuncture treats at all levels of human consciousness.

Mental  disorders and conditions are numerous and widespread in Western Medicine and have many different labels. Chinese Medicine by comparison does not have the same complexity when describing mental heath issues  and is simplistic in it approach by  comparison.  Despite the differences  in terminology Acupuncture has still been  shown to be effective in standard clinical trails when using Western terminology for numerous familiar disorders. These range from  the more familiar and commonly know conditions such as  Depression (including depressive neurosis and depression following stroke) even to the more severe and perhaps complex froms such a Schizophrenia and Tourette syndrome.
